Quarter 1

In the 1st Quarter, students learn effective ways to research and identify sources based on a topic of their own choosing.  This culminates in their first Annotated Source List (16 sources) due at the end of the quarter.  They will also have formed their initial hypothesis for the topic they select to research.

Quarter 4

At this point, students will be working on their end product.  How can they make a difference in the field they chose to research?  Who will an authentic audience be? Some students will be presenting or hosting at the Student Learning Conference on April 20th.

Quarter 3

Students will continue the composing product with their synthesis essay due early in the 3rd Quarter.  They will also start to consider what type of original research they will be doing.

Quarter 4 Due Dates
